Two gal pals in London, a British nurse (Minnie Driver) and an expatriate American actress (Catherine McCormack), stumble onto a multimillion-pound robbery and try to rip off the mobsters responsible for the heist. The women have problems: the nurse has just broken up with her self-centered electronic-musician boyfriend and the actress is struggling to make ends meet. And the nurse believes that the hospital where she works needs a lot of expensive new equipment. But in no way do those issues justify the risks taken by a couple of rank amateurs as they attempt to relieve hardened criminals of ill-gotten gains. Absurd. Soon the bimbos are dodging the cops, taking on the most feared crime boss in town and brandishing machine guns for an assault on a gang stronghold. Any resemblance to "Thelma and Louise" is strictly intentional; any favorable comparisons are absolutely unmerited. With the eminent Michael Gambon ("The Singing Detective"), who deserves better.
